Bella Poarch was born in the Philippines on February 9 1997 to her biological Filipino parents. Her grandmother grew up in areas of slums for three years until she turned 3 years old, when she was adopted. Her adopted father, a Philippine-American from a military background, was white, and American. She says that her as well as her brother, who was adopted when an infant, suffered abuse until they were drafted. After a short time at San Francisco, her family relocated to Texas in order to assist her father undergo a bypass procedure. The father was not able to stop the psychological abuse, even though she says that the physical violence was less. After turning 18, she joined an organization called the United States Navy. Poarch began with her TikTok account on April 2020 and quickly became a household name amassing more than 40 million users within less than eight months.
